Scooter # 004

"Undaunted 06"
Owned by Richard Newell of North East Point, Nova Scotia.  This is the fourth "Novie Scooter" built by Novie Boatbuilders Ltd.  These hulls have our logos put on them when they are completed, consisting of a scetch of a Scoter Duck and the words, "Novie Scooter".

"Big Dog"
Owned by Tyler's Pride Fisheries Ltd. of South Side, Nova Scotia, the "Big Dog" hull was built by Colindale Boat Yard Ltd. in Port Hood, and finished by 'Sonny' of Tyler's Pride Fisheries Ltd.  The mould was called the "Colindale 42" at that time, until it was purchased by our company, Novie Boatbuilders Ltd. in 2002.  We have renamed the mould "The Novie Scooter". This hull is used as a very fast fishing boat and  can reach speeds of 28+ knots with her two engines.









 

"Encourager"
Owned by Richard Ross of Stoney Island, one of the owners of Novie Boatbuilders Ltd., the "Encourager" hull was built by Colindale Boat Yard Ltd. in Port Hood, NS back when that company still owned this mould.  It was also finished back then by Donald (Sonny) Nickerson of Tyler's Pride Fisheries Ltd.  This boat is also used as a fast fishing boat, although he is not at full speed in this photo.  Richard liked his boat so much, that he and Horton Quinlan bought the mould and started Novie Boatbuilders Ltd.










"Nicholas Q"
Owned by Landon Quinlan of Stoney Island, the "Nicholas Q" was finished by Landon and Donald (Sonny) Nickerson of  Tyler's Pride Fisheries Ltd. This hull was built when the mould was still owned by Colindale Boat Yard in Port Hood, NS.














"Gettin Greedy"
Owned by D & V Fisheries Ltd. of South Side, NS and  finished by Tylers Pride Fisheries Ltd.  the "Getting Greedy" was the very first Colindale 42' to be purchased by someone in our area from Colindale Boat Yard.  The shape of her hull was a brand new concept for the fishermen in our area and there was initial sceptisim but the design has more than proven itself in the lobster industry in regard to stability, speed, and ability as a work boat. 






Scooter # 001
"Chandler & Corbin"
Owned by Larry Swim of Oak Park, Nova Scotia.  This is the very first "Novie Scooter" to be built by Novie Boatbuilders Ltd.  Although the mould is 15' 8" wide, this hull was widened and finished by Daniel's Head Boatbuilders Ltd. to 19'. This boat is featured in our Scooter construction section, and includes photos of this boat being built from start to finish. Her color is called "Palm Tree Brown".

Hull finished April, 2003.

Scooter # 002
"Answered Prayer"
Owned by Kendrick Nickerson of Stoney Island, Nova Scotia.  This is the second "Novie Scooter" built by Novie Boatbuilders Ltd..  The hull was  widened and finished by Kendrick Nickerson, Sonny Nickerson, and Landon Quinlan over at Tyler's Pride Fisheries Ltd.  These hulls have our logos put on them when they are completed, consisting of a scetch of a Scoter Duck and the words, "Novie Scooter". 
This boat has a 740 hp engine, and is getting 19 knots.

Scooter # 003
"Victory Lane 3"
Built for MacKay Fisheries of  Centreville, Nova Scotia this is the third "Novie Scooter" built by Novie Boatbuilders Ltd.
This boat has a 740 hp GM engine, is getting 20.6 knots.
This boat is 19' 2" midship, and 18' transom.
Boat was finished using Core-Cell instead of plywood

Hull finished August 8, 2003
Finish work completed by: Daniel's Head Boatbuilders Ltd. on Nov. 3, 2003.





"Jet FX"
Built by Colindale Boat Yard in Port Hood, Nova Scotia.
5' 8" x 43' 6"
Twin Volvo 318 Hp with 273 Hamilton Jets
Boat finished in 1994 and used by the Canadian Coast Guard.










Yacht
Yacht built from the mould and located in Florida.
This mould was originally used to build yachts in Florida
and was previously known as the "Robertson 42".
