The Tetsusaiga was a sword forged by the swordsmith Totosia. Inutaishio, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's father, used the sword to protect his human wife. The sword has the power to transform and become a giant fang, also giving it a tremedous amount of power. When Inutaisho died, he left the Tetsuiaga inside of his grave. And the only means of getting to the grave was through the black pearl, which is hidden in Inuyasha's right eye. When Sesshomaru finnaly got to the grave, it turned out the Tetsusaiga had a barrier so a full demon like Sesshomaru could not touch it withought being burned or injured. However, humans could touch the blade freely, but could never make it transform, making it useless to demons and humans. However, Demons can make it transform, but can't hold it. Humans can hold it, but not make it Transform. InuYasha, being half human,a nd half demon, can hold the Tetsusaiga and make it Transform, and use its greatest power, so the Tetsusiga was left to Inuyasha, also, secretly left to him also to keep his inner demon blood locked away. But Sesshomaru was left the Tenseiga, the fang of healing, but ill save the info on Tenseiga for the Tensiega section. Sesshomaru, Being a Cold Hearted Demon had absolutly no use for the tenseiga, but Sesshomaru had incredible strength on his own, as Inuyasha was a weaker half demon who needed the Tetsusiga to defend himself. So with Inuyasha's Tetsusiga's powerfull attacks, and Sesshomaru's Nearly invincible power, it was futile for the brothers to kill each other.
Tetsusaiga's attacks:
The Wind Scar
The wind Scar (Kaze no Kizu or "cutting wind" in japanese) is Tetsusaiga's most commenly known attack. This attack has the power to slay 100 hundred demons in one swing. (First seen used by Sesshomaru with a human arm, or first by inuyasha when he was rescuing miroku)
The Backlash Wave
The Backlash Wave(Bakuryuha, or "crushing stream" in japanese) is Tetsusaiga's ultimate attack, which was first used against Ryukoussei by Inuyasha. Works by ensnaring the Demonic Aura of the enemy's attack in the Wind Scar and firing it right back at them in a hellish tornado-like storm. Note: in Inuyasha: A fuedal fairy tail (Inuyasha PS1 game,) this was reffered to as "Dragon Twister" which is really Soanga's ultimant attack, only seen in movie #3
Tetsusaiga! Not Really an Atk. InuYasha just swings his sword at something and yells TETSUSAIGA!
Information above on the tetsusaiga obtained at http://tetsusaigaatenseiga.tripod.com/id11.html. All credit for this Goes to that sight, for im not a plegierizer, but i am a bad speller at times. :/ all information below was found by reading manga exept red tetsusaiga which i cant believe i forgot it so im adding it now. xD
Red Tetsusaiga
The Red Tetsusaiga (or "barrier shatter" in japanese) is gains in power whenever Tetsusaiga slays an enemy that has a great Demonic Aura. Each time this is done, the power of the Red Tetsusaiga grows, extending its limit barrier strength it can shatter. This was first seen after slaying the bat demons, and letting the Tetsusaiga absorb the energy.
Adamant Barrage
The Adamant barrage (Kongosoha or "Diamond Spear wave" in japanese) is similar to the wind scar, but instead its mixed with hundreds of spears of adamant which is the hardest known substance known to man (or at least back in the fudeal era, in our modern day, Diamond is the hardest substance) This is first obtained when Hosenki, a crystalized yokai(see English->Japanese page, comming soon!) requested Inuyasha to kut him, but each time he tried, it shot back small fragments of Hosenki, causing recoil damage to Inuyasha. (Hosenki most likely knew that Inuyasha could not kill him) However, after some very strange events, he passes on and leaves his powers in Tetsusaiga. Thus, Inuyasha obtained the power to combine the windscar and the kongoseki (Adamant shards=english || Diamonds=Japanese) to wreak havoc on a foe, or simply set it off to fire a lard volly of kongoseki shards. note While trying to escape the giant oger's belly in episodes 166-167, he combined a Shikon Shard and the Adamant barrage to create the "Golden Gun" whichis the strongest form of the Wind scar. Final conformation of the official name of this is still unknown.
Sword Pressure
Sword pressure (or Kentasu in Japanese) is when Tessaiga, like Tokijin, and most swords of demon origin, has the ability to cut an enemy without making physical contact. InuYasha can be seen using this ability before he discovers Tessaiga's top-end Kenatsu: Kaze no Kizu, the Wind Scar.(later the Backlash wave, and Adamant barrage as well)
Manga only
Dragon-Scaled Tetsusaiga
This form originally only had the power to absorb enemy attacks and use them as its own. For example, against the Nuwatari demon InuYasha was able to suck the creature demonic aura away. In more useful setting Inuyasha was able to absorb a blast of Koga's Goraishi and use it with his sword to attack Moryomaru. Later this form of the sword is bathed in the energies of the demon, Nikosen. This prevents InuYasha from being hit by a backlash of youki, demonic energy. Eager to learn how to better master Tessaiga InuYasha trains under Youreitaisei where he learns the ability to see yoketsu (whirlpools of demonic energy), which when cut can depower a demon. It is especially useful against demons like Moryomaru and Naraku because it prevents them from rejuvenating their wounds once they've been attacked by it.
The dragon-scaled ability was also used by InuYasha to counteract the effects of the meidou. This was done by InuYasha cutting his own youketsu with the Tessaiga, causing it to enlarge and push back the meidou. This is the only example of counteracting a meidou besides using another meidou. Note:this artical is DIRECTLY from Wikipedia Via http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tessaiga
Meidou Zengetsuha
Meido Zangetsuha (i call it Black tetsusaiga, unofficial name)is an ability that creates a path to Hell (or a Meidou) through which to send an opponent; its perfected form is that of a large black sphere that resembles a hole in space. One can create a Meidou where the cut is made, or it can be fired like a projectile. InuYasha's father stole the ability from a yokai named Shishinki with the aid of Tessaiga. However, because of the danger associated with such an ability, Tenseiga was created out of Tessaiga to bear it. InuYasha's father intended for InuYasha's brother Sesshomaru (a full yokai who can withstand the terrible jyaki (miasma) of Hell) to master that ability when he inherited the Tenseiga, then later have the sword reabsorbed into Tessaiga (thereby granting InuYasha the perfected technique).
Tetsusiaga's forms
Rust Form
Tetsusaiga's basic form when not transformed by Inuyasha, or in hands of another human. Despite its looks, it is still capable to be used as any old sword and repell most yokai with its normal form
Tetsusaiga's True form
Only capable of being achived by either A: a half demon or B: a Demon who feels compassion for humans(which is why shippo can touch it). this form changes the rusty old katana into a Giant Fang (hence the manga name being "Fang of Cleaving Steel") with fur flickering at the hilt. This can block and of course us any of Tetsusaiga's "Weapon Techniques" It is also known that the Tetsusaiga locks away Inuyashas Demonic Blood from emerging and taking over.
Crimson
The Crimson or Red tetsusaiga. This Form can be combined with pretty much all of the weapon techniques, giving an attack a barrier-shattering effect
Adamant/Diamond
Transforms Tetsusaiga into a massive Adamant/Diamond sword that alows him to break virtualy any barrier, as well as be conjoined with the Wind scar.
Dragon-Scaled Tetsusaiga/Ryurin no Tetsusaiga
Another form of the Tessaiga gained in the manga after the anime ended. Tessaiga would destroy the sword Datsuki, and gained its ability to absorb youki through its dragon scales.[4] However, the subsequent confrontation with the yokai Dokumizuchi would reveal that due to InuYasha's nature as a han'you, Tessaiga cannot absorb huge amounts of youki without causing a catastrophic reverse-flow of energy.[5] InuYasha would temporarily remedy this problem by absorbing the senki of the yokai Nikosen, which purified the youki that the Dragon-scaled Tessaiga absorbed.[6] But an embarrassing encounter with Sesshomaru, Totosai, and the yokai Numawatari would cause InuYasha to learn that he didn't "understand" the nature of Tessaiga by simply absorbing youki with its Dragon-scale form.[7] InuYasha would be directed by Totosai towards the yokai-sennin Yourei Taisei, who would train him how to sense a yokai's youketsu (a floating whirlpool of youki that is the source of a youkai's youki), and how to cut it with the Dragon-scaled Tessaiga (rather than use it to absorb the youki). InuYasha was then able to understand the Tessaiga's nature as "a sword that cuts", and his training was completed with the acquisition of Yourai Taisei's exceptionally-powerful youki, when he cut through his youketsu with the Dragon-scaled Tessaiga. The yokai-sennin would silently indicate that the Dragon-scaled Tessaiga has one final form that he would leave to InuYasha to discover on his own.[8] Note:This artical was DIRECTLY taken from Http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/tessaiga
Black
The most recent form aquired in the maga, after Tenseiga is broken over it. the blade takes the appearance of Meidou(comming soon!), and is now capable of using the Meidou Zangetsuha ability(see above)
Sheathed
This TECHNICALY is not a form, but it does have some unique abilitys, which is why im listing it anyway. The Sheath/Scabbard of Tetsusaiga can resist electrical and some Demonic Attacks.(Though Im sure it can absorb more than that,) The Sheath can also summen Tetsusaiga to itself, as seen when called during the fight between inuyasha and the thunder brothers, where it becomes craced and repaierd by "foger bees"

Tenseiga is an interesting sword, owned by Sesshomaru. This sword was also, like the Tetsusaiga, made by Totosai, using one of Inutaisho's fangs. Its basically the opposite of the Tetsusaiga, having the ability to save 100 souls with once swing of its blade. In other words, it can revive 100 souls in one swing. Because of him being left the Tenseiga, Sesshomaru despises Inuyasha because he believes that that tenseiga is of no use to him, and his father gave the powerfull Tetsusaiga to Inuyasha. However, he does learn to use it, and often uses it to revive Jaken. Then in Episode 35, when Sesshomaru Was hit by the Wind Scar, Despite Sesshomaru despising Tenseiga, transported him to a village that was recently attacked by wolves. Where later, he revives a little girl named rin, who helped him while he was still recovering.
Tenseiga's Abilities
Unknown Name This move's name is unknown, because Sesshomaru Never uses it. But, All we know about it is that it can save 100 souls in one swing.
Ressurect Basically a smaller version of the unknown move. Heals only one soul from the dead, or kills a undead.
Transport First seen in episode 35, when Sesshomaru was hit by the Wind Scar, the Tenseiga telleported Sesshomaru, Saving his life. This abilty makes Sesshomaru nearly invincible.
Information on the Tenseiga obtained at http://tetsusaigaatenseiga.tripod.com/id13.html. All credit for this Goes to that sight, for im not a plegierizer.

An evil sword forged by Kijinbo from the fangs of the oger demon Goshinki. The slightest bit of pressure from this blade will cut as if it were slashed on you at full strength. Sesshomaru was the one who requested Kijinbo to create it, to rival the Tetsusaiga. This sword is also virtualy unbreakable.
Tokijin's Attacks
Pre-Sesshomaru
Needle-like Knetasu(sword pressure)
the only REAL pre-sesshomaru ability which is physicaly done at will, albiet(no idea what it means, this is from wiki) temporary, after the yokai took possession of the sword.
Perpetual Aura
Nothing special. Just an everlasting purplish-pinkish plasmatic aura , controlling anyone not powerful enough to overwhelm it. This fades after sesshomaru dissapates the aura.
Teleportation/shadow stepping
Tokijin could convert its wielder into pure red energy, then swiftly teleport (or shadow step, which is just movement of the body to fast for the human eye) the user along the ground, while slicing through anything in its way.
Telepathic Relevation
Tokijin can see through deciet and offer its wielder psycic information on his(Goshinki's) desired victem. This trait is most likely from Goshinki's ability to read minds, passed down while forging the sword.
Re-Vitalization
Simply by pulsing its Perpetual aura, Tokijin could revitalize wounded weilder as to continue fighting despite the presence of the injury.
Post-Sesshomaru
Dragon Strike
The Dragon Strike(or Soryuha, "Azure Dragon Wave" in Japanese) is A Lightning attack of a dragon of hell, First seen in Episode 45, but the name is not spoken there. Very powerfull, and most likely kills most demons on contact.
Unknown named ability
This attack is seen ONLY in episode 81, It looks like the Wind Scar, Exept the power flow of energy is blue, and tokijin created it. Details of this are still unknown
Sword Pressure/Kenatsu
Sword pressure (or Kentasu in Japanese) is when Tokijin, like Tetsusaiga, and most swords of demon origin, has the ability to cut an enemy without making physical contact.

Bakusaiga is Sesshomaru's newest weapon. It first appears during his battle against Magatsuhi, who was born from the Shikon Jewel and took yokai form by using parts of Naraku's body. When Sesshomaru regenerates his left arm, which had previously been cut off near the beginning of the series, the sword was already in its grasp, formed of his own daiyokai power. His ability to summon and use the sword indicates that he has finally lost his desire and attachment to Tessaiga. Totousai states that it also means he has finally surpassed his father and stands as his own daiyokai, this and the previous tests being a sort of rite of passage. The sword seems to be able to continually deteriorate/destroy the flesh of anything it cuts, sealing such abilities as regeneration. Miroku comments that should Naraku try to absorb a demon cut by such sword he too would suffer the effect.
