Against the advice of everyone McClane takes on the hostages and his fear of heights single-handedly. He's being targeted by yet another terrorist who has planted bombs around New York and is passing 'clues' to McClane in the form of bizarre riddles and games. It's 25th Century Earth and the planet is in a mess. Retired military leader and now dodgy cab driver Korben Dallas ( Willis ) meets the fifth element face to face in the form of Leeloo ( Milla Jovovich ) and ends up helping her to save the earth. Back to top Twelve Monkeys Directed by Terry Gilliam and starring Bruce Willis as James Cole is an intense time travel sci-fi. As a prisoner in 2035 Cole is offered parole in return to travelling back in time to 1996 to save the earth from a devastating plague. The first attempt fails and Cole is returned to 1990 and promptly locked in a mental institution but the second attempt is successful and Cole must decipher what is real and what is not in order to save the population. As David Dunne realises his abilities, he also begins to understand the overwhelming responsibility that they bring and comes face to face with the exact opposite of a superhero. This award-winning movie charts the progress of two hit men Vincent and Jules ( John Travolta and Samuel L.Jackson ), a couple who spontaneously decide to hold up a diner whilst having breakfast ( Amanda Plummer and Tim Roth ) and a boxer from a 1940s B movie ( Bruce Willis ) to name but a few. The film is considered as one of the most influential of the 90s and received seven Oscar nominations and whilst there have been may attempts since to copy it's style it remains unique and completely original.
