This book was one of the best book I have ever read. Normally I don't like reading but, I just couldn't put this book down for a minute! The simplistic way it was written enlightened , I'm sure many people as too the horrors some children face everyday of there lives . Hopefully next time when someone see's a child that is hungry , or in tattered clothes ... looking malnurished , they might lend a hand .. if only offering some food , a hug ,a way out, for that child . We can only hope , books like these however painful to read , will educate people . Open there hearts , and teach us to not just look away , but to address this social sickness . I had heard about it from a friend and how much she loved it so I thought that I would try it out for myself. This book has the power to make you really see what it is like to have abusive parents and what the children go through. Wonderfully written. Can't put it down for a second.
