Natsuki Takaya

Natsuki Takaya was born on July 7, 1973. Takaya is a pen name; her real name is not known by the public. She moved to Tokyo, Japan, where she made her debut in 1992. She spends most of her time playing video games such as the Final Fantasy series or Sakura Wars, or working on Fruits Basket.

According to Takaya (in a sidebar of a Fruits Basket manga volume), she enjoys drawing girls more than she does boys. Takaya also enjoys electronics and music, but dislikes talking about herself. Also revealed in a sidebar of Fruits Basket, Takaya had broken her left arm (the one she draws with) after Fruits Basket vol. 6. She had to go into surgery, and as a result, put Fruits Basket in a brief hiatus. Takaya had a full recovery, but (amusingly) complains that her handwriting had gotten uglier, due to the surgery. She is a Cancer, born on July 7, year unknown. Her blood type is A and she is left-handed. Takaya also had a website, called "Chotto Ippuku"; however, it has been offline and inactive since September 2002.
