Note: These quotes were taken by me. I spent time actually going through the Volumes and picking out good quotes (sad, I know, lol). Please get my permission to use them or I’ll get Kyou to use you as a scratching post. ^^

Kyou (to Tohru): They don’t need me. As long as Yuki’s there, it’ll go fine……He’s always been smart and witty and good with people. People naturally respect him. They trust him. And even though I started studying martial arts first……he’s a better fighter than I am.
Tohru (thinks): I knew it.
“Children born in the Year of the Rat are special.” “Of course he’s special.” “Especially compared to the Cat boy…”
Kyou: …It’s not fair. I’m special, too. That punk…
Tohru remembers what Yuki said to her: “Kyou……is the type that attracts others to him.” “I’ve often thought that even though he can’t be in the zodiac……he might be able to face normal people in a normal body.” “I’ve always wished……that I could be like that.”
Tohru (thinks): So……Sohma-kun is jealous of Kyou-kun……and Kyou-kun is jealous of Sohma-kun? Even though they have so much respect for each other’s qualities……they can’t get along. But if you ask me……they each have their own wonderful qualities. So why…?

Hatori (to Tohru):Do you enjoy living at Shigure’s house?
Tohru: Yes! Very much!
Hatori: I think it best……you leave that place. Do not involve yourself with the Sohma family anymore.
Tohru: Oh…
Hatori: I’m sure Shigure didn’t make clear the gravity of our condition. The Sohma family continues to be possessed by vengeful spirits. It’s not the fun and games you think. *Momiji looks serious as Hatori says:* It’s bizarre…sinister……cursed.

Momiji (to Tohru, referring to when Kana’s memories were erased by Hatori): Poor Ha’ri…he cried……but……he didn’t blame Akito.
Tohru: ….why…? (thinks) It must have been painful.
Momiji: Because that……is part of the curse.

Tohru (to Momiji): I’m glad……I’m just so glad……I got to meet everyone. Even if I am being used for some purpose……giving me the life I have now……I want to say thank you. (thinks) I will never regret……that I got involved. I never could. I’m the way I am now……because of Sohma-kun and the others.

Shigure (to Tohru, Momiji and Hatori): Average people always envy genius. (He’s referring to himself)
Hatori: Would you just stop living like a jellyfish?
