Maximum Destruction (Near) Vs. Obsession (Far) The 6-time World Champion got to pick on the rookie in round 1. Off the line Logan held his own with the champ but once again the truck dies after the first jump and Meents idles by for an easy win.



Reptoid (Near) Vs. American Guardian (Far) Rick Raab was a no-show for round 1 due to breakage in qualifing so Jim Jack gets a bye run.

Gun Slinger (Near) Vs. Predator (Far) This was going to be one of the better matchups of round 1 as Atlanta winner Pezo faced off with the ever challenging Scott Hartsock. They're even over the first jump but Scott drives the truck too close to the corners and knocks over a turning pole. Scott stays in the throttle hoping for a mistake by Pezo but the veteran kept it legal and Pezo moves onto round 2 and Hartsock is upset in Tampa once again.




Superman (Near) Vs. Prowler (Far) A rematch from the qualifing round saw more of the same as Chad Fortune was able to power the big ford around the track for an easy win over Jarzel in Prowler.

Madusa (Near) Vs. T-Maxx (Far) Another big matchup in round 1 saw ford vs. ford as the two were even off the line, Madusa was able to get a slight lead over Seasock over the 2nd jump, around the final corner it looks like Madusa takes the win, but the officials see that her tire did not make it up the final ramp and reverse the call on the field handing the win to Seasock.



Hot Wheels (Near) Vs. Grave Digger XIX (Far) Another rematch from qualifing puts Wood agains Anderson as the two veterans get ready to battle. Off the line its Anderson by an inch and Anderson holds his small lead over the 2nd jump, into the final corner Anderson sweeps around the corner while Wood is able to keep up amazing speed while keeping the truck tight around the corner, Anderson's back end is sliding in the sandy dirt and Hot Wheels powers up the ramp and comes from behind to upset Anderson in the first round!
